Eric and Ryann—the Essex House in New York, NY
We feel incredibly lucky to have spent a day capturing so much joy and happiness with Eric and Ryann, in one of the greatest cities on earth, in such an iconic venue. Without their invitation, we’d be like the boyhood-self Ryann’s father conjured up in his toast, rapping on the window from 59th street, saying to ourselves, “someday, someday.”
Our favorite moments from the day include: Ryann’s first look with her dad and brother on the rooftop with all of New York city unfurling below them; every stolen moment and touch with grandma, Eric’s unwavering cool and calm cracking (literally) as he read Ryann’s letter, running through Central Park to get the shot, the vintage NYC taxi pulling up to the cathedral where Ryann’s parents got married, greeted by the blast of bagpipes, and finally—the roar of the crowd in unison to the band’s live rendition of Sweet Caroline. What a day. What a life that awaits Eric and Ryann.
